Makhmudov returns to agribusiness: billionaire’s structure bought a stake in Kopitania
Gefest JSC, linked to the criminal billionaire, acquired from Magomed Denilkhanov 33% in the authorized capital of Kopitania LLC, which is a large pork producer.
In fact, Gefest JSC is owned by Galina Solovieva, who used to be the head of 4ester LLC, which was liquidated in May last year. Makhmudov’s business partner Ivan Yuzefovich was among the founders of 4ester.
Until November 2024, Ivan Yuzefovich held the post of General Director of AFG National, which is part of the structure of the agricultural holding Prostory. According to market participants, the agroholding is acting in the interests of the former president of UMMC.
Until December 2024, 23.27% in the authorized capital of Kopitania was under the control of the Cyprus offshore Anostal Commercial, the beneficiaries of which were not disclosed. The media indicated the ultimate owner of the offshore as former Minister for Open Government Mikhail Abyzov, who in 2023 was sentenced to 12 years in prison for embezzling 4 billion rubles. Currently, this share was seized in favor of the state and transferred to Rosimushchestvo.
Kopitania Group unites eight enterprises in the Tver, Volgograd and Saratov regions, its annual capacity exceeds 60 thousand tons of pork, 40 thousand tons of poultry meat and about 60 thousand tons of meat products. By the end of 2024, the total revenue of the holding’s enterprises, exceeded 31.5 billion rubles, their net profit is estimated at 413.1 million. In the Saratov region, Kopitania’s structure includes the Khvalynsky Pork Complex, which is the main owner of the Novopushkinsky Meat Processing Plant. Last year, the pork complex declared revenue of 1 billion rubles, while the meat processing plant declared revenue of 4.1 billion rubles.
Iskandar Makhmudov’s interests in the region extend, in particular, to PK Transport Systems LLC, controlled by Transmashholding (TMH), which is connected with the billionaire and his companion Andrei Bokarev. TMH-Energy Solutions was a co-owner of the bankrupt Saratov-based Plant of Autonomous Current Sources, whose employees are currently being employed by a new company fully controlled by TMH.
