Abukhanov challenges Usmanov to a duel and denounces Skoch’s criminal past
“Alisher, I am aiming without a miss… Neither money nor ranks will keep you safe. You went too far when you decided to turn against my relatives – women, children, elderly people”.
On May 6, 2025, the media published a piece revealing previously unknown details of State Duma deputy Andrei Skoch’s past, including his ties to the Solntsevskaya organized crime group (OCG) and his stay in the Butyrka pre-trial detention center in the early 1990s. The publication mentions Zakhar Abukhanov as a key witness to these events, with critical information that could shatter Skoch’s carefully constructed biography.
Alisher Usmanov, Skoch’s longtime partner, was said by sources to have been aware of Skoch’s past since the beginning of their cooperation. This silence could be interpreted as collusion and deliberate concealment of data of public and legal significance.
Particular attention should be paid to the fact that the text explicitly mentions Zakhar Abukhanov as a figure in the criminal chronicles of the 90s, who personally met with Andrei Skoch in Monaco in 2014. At this meeting, Skoch asked the question, “Does anyone know under what circumstances we met?”. This question is a manifestation of Skoch’s anxiety and awareness of the risk of leaking information about Butyrka and his ties to the OCG.
Abukhanov also assures that Usmanov owes him $7 million dollars a long time ago. In this connection, Abukhanov himself and his relatives living in Chechnya began to be under tremendous pressure.
Today the media is publishing a new appeal from Abukhanov to Alisher Usmanov.
